    Call for Nominations: 2026 Western Chapter Board of Directors
    •    Nominations close: Monday, June 29
    •    Election period: July 1–July 31
    Increase your involvement and broaden your impact—nominate yourself or another member.
    Serving on the Board is an opportunity to help guide the Chapter, support members, and strengthen the erosion control industry.
    Open positions: Three board terms expire each year.
    Qualifications
    •    Must be a Western Chapter member for at least one year.
    Responsibilities and time commitment
    •    Manage and administer the Chapter as a not-for-profit corporation.
    •    Create educational opportunities for Chapter members.
    •    Help the Chapter and IECA grow.
    •    Respond to member questions and concerns.
    •    Time commitment: Quarterly meetings plus subcommittee work totaling approximately 5–10 hours per quarter.
    How to nominate
    By June 29, send your nomination (or self-nomination) to Cyndi at admin@wcieca.org, including:
    •    A photo
    •    A candidate statement (about 200 words) describing your work/background and why you want to serve on the Western Chapter Board of Directors

    State Representatives needed for HI, NV, & AZ!
    Eligibility: Must be a Western Chapter member who resides in (and represents) the state; this is a non-voting role.
    Primary role: Serve as the primary liaison between the Western Chapter (IECA) and stormwater/erosion control professionals in your state.
    Advocacy: Represent and advance the IECA mission to the public.
    Communication: 2–4 times per year, you may share state-relevant articles, news, or project photos (optional; minimal time commitment).
    Local engagement: Flag state-specific issues, training needs, and regulatory changes; suggest training/education initiatives or local events; provide input and assistance when events occur in your region.
    Term: 2 years.
