Please join me in welcoming our three new board members, Ashley Kollmorgen, Clint Smith, and Dan Strauss.
Ashley Kollmorgen
Ashley has been in the erosion and stormwater management industry since 2007. She worked as a treatment tech and marketing assistant at Clear Water Services for 1.5 years and then at Bravo Environmental as a business development manager and project manager for 6 years. In 2016, Ashley started her own company called Encore Environmental specializing in water treatment for stormwater, ground water and process water, SWPPP and TESC writing, CESCL inspections, and erosion control and restoration. Ashley is new to the IECA under her own company but brings a vast amount of experience when it comes to organizing events and creating strategic partnerships. Ashley also served on the board of the National Utility Contractors Association of WA for 5 years, with 2 years served as President, and is involved in other organizations including the Associated General Contractors and the American Public Works Association.
Clint Smith
Clint has been a member with the PNW chapter for over 3 years and has been involved in the IECA since 2009. He has been in the Environmental Compliance industry for over 22 years. Clint has worked all over the country from California to Oklahoma. He has represented many local municipalities and EPA in many positions.
Today, Clint works with an Environmental Consulting Firm in the greater Seattle Area focusing on Large Transportation projects representing agencies.
Dan Strauss
Dan has been a Member of IECA for the past 5 years, and has worked in construction for much of his career. He has worked in the erosion control industry since March 2017. He first spoke at an IECA conference in 2020. Working with Adam Lyman, PNW chapter Secretary, he has been an IECA volunteer for the past 3 years. Dan began his erosion control work as an estimator, then moved into managing projects and leading a team of project managers. Today, his job title is Director of Marketing and Training. Dan is a trainer for the City of Boise erosion control Responsible Person class (2 to 3 hour class) and the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) contractor and internal inspector training.
With their many years of experience in construction, erosion control, and stormwater management, Ashley, Clint and Dan will enhance our Chapter efforts to educate and inform, not just our industry, but contractors and the public.
I look forward to working with them and know they will provide great ideas and service to chapter members.
Lastly, thank you to all of the members who participated in the election.
Best Regards, Dave Jenkins-PNW Chapter President
