Dear Members,
It was a great time in Richmond. The annual conference was alive with excitement and anticipation for the educational programming and good old-fashioned fellowship with old friends and new acquaintances. Members from around the world provided a variety of lively conversations throughout the halls. It was like a sea of IECA members, and it felt good.
Our members and guests had the opportunity to hear over 114 educational presentations, thanks to the dedication of our experienced and trained professionals who shared their expertise and knowledge. We also had a sold-out exhibitor hall due to the tremendous support of our product and industry partners.
AND LET’S NOT FORGET
The Awesome Staff that put the whole thing together and made it such a memorable event.
But the adventure into the world of Erosion and Stormwater does not stop following the conference, for it is the springboard for us to all push forward as we move out into 2025. The many regional opportunities that each of our chapters are planning must be member supported and advertised to the surrounding area as learning events for practitioners, municipalities, and suppliers. We cannot let our communities slip into complacency or stay unaware of the tremendous impact of erosion and stormwater or the fact that there are professionals in the IECA that can provide assistance and direction. The regional events are an opportunity for those of us who attended the annual conference to share the knowledge we gathered and to encourage the advancement of our industry. There are also opportunities for those instructors, trainers and innovators right there in the region to hone their presentation skills and finalize their innovations for presentation in Ft. Worth, Texas at the 2026 annual conference.
Richmond was great, but the IECA is more than just an annual conference; we are the heart and soul of Erosion and Stormwater Education and Training. It is a way of life. Let’s get out there and live it.
