Field Tour: Green Infrastructure in Portland's Lower Bayside

You will drive your own car to participate in this tour.
This tour will visit green infrastructure systems in Portland's Lower Bayside area, an area that has seen much change and development over the past decade. Tour leaders will breakdown challenges the city, private owners and engineers faced originally, as well as detail how each system functions to meet the stormwater goals. Select systems were oversized to help achieve credits towards the City stormwater utility fees. Tour leaders will highlight lessons learned throughout the evolution of working in the area... i.e. changes to the approach, system maintenance and the importance of community ownership/buy-in. The tour will include sites with a variety
of rain gardens and high-flow biofilters.
Field Tour Cost: $25 IECA Members/ $35 Nonmembers
Credit: 2 Professional Development Hours
