Chapter Newsletters

March 2025

COLLABORATE TODAY.  SUSTAIN TOMORROW.

The Northeast Chapter is excited to unveil our new logo. (pictured right)
We began soliciting designs from erosion control professionals in the fall of 2024. We wanted our logo to represent the association’s mission to combat soil erosion, protect waterways, and promote sustainable construction and operational practices across the Northeast. Some of our guidelines included logos which incorporated imagery related to soil, water, plants, or local wildlife. We encouraged the use of a color palette inspired by nature—greens, blues, earthy browns, and autumn tones. In addition, we wanted a logo that was reflective of our geography encompassing The New England States and New York. We received five submissions which were judged by chapter board members in January based on creativity, visual appeal and clarity, and versatility for usage across print, digital and professional merchandise platforms.
For an added incentive to generate participation in the fun, we offered first place a free registration to our upcoming 2025 Northeast IECA Regional Conference to be held November 3-5, 2025 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Boston - Westborough, MA as well as recognition on our website and social media. For the runner up, we offered a $50 Amazon gift card. The winning first place design was then submitted to a creative design professional service to help us finalize the image colors, fonts, artistic layout and provide multiple file formats. It is with great pleasure and appreciation that we announce our winners below. Thank you for helping us craft our fresh new design!

We had several Northeast chapter members attend the IECA Annual Conference
which was held this year February 25th-28th in Richmond, VA. Here are a few
snapshots from the field tours, socials, educational sessions, awards luncheon
and many networking opportunities shared by all.
